Bãi Trường beach walk

Step out of Luna, turn left through the Sonasea garden, cross one quiet road, and you’re on the sand. Bãi Trường runs for about twenty kilometres along the west coast — you can walk a long way in either direction without anything stopping you.

Mornings are the calmest. The local fishing boats come back around seven, and a few of them sell their catch directly on the beach if you happen to be there. Bring a coffee from the bakery on the corner.

Late afternoons, the wind picks up and the light turns. The water is shallow for a long way out, so it’s a good swim even at low tide. There’s no lifeguard — keep an eye on small children.

Towels: we keep a stack by reception, take one on your way out and drop it back when you’re done. No need to ask.
